Meyer Bergman launches Borough Yard development

Meyer Bergman has launched its 18,375 m2 mixed-use redevelopment of the former wine-tasting venue Vinopolis at Bankside in London. The project was unveiled on the first day of the Mapic retail real estate fair in Cannes.

 

Borough Yard spans the railway arches bounded by Thames House, Stoney Street, Clink Street and Park Street, and the land between the railway viaduct and Wine Wharf. The scheme includes offices, retail and restaurant units, along with a cinema, which has already been let to Everyman Cinemas. 

While taking inspiration from other projects around the UK capital which have adapted and updated old industrial buildings and turned them into retail spaces , including Argent’s King’s Cross development, and Covent Garden, Borough Yard aims to offer a unique retail and food and beverage experience at the location, which Meyer Bergman says attracts an annual footfall of 56 million.
