Europe’s second largest operator of outlet centres, Neinver, is developing the first high-end outlet centre in Central and Eastern Europe.

With a prime location, Prague The Style Outlets will capture the potential of an affluent residential and tourist market, according to Neinver’s Business Development Director Sebastian Sommer.

Work on Prague The Style Outlets is well underway to create the ultimate shopping destination for this cosmopolitan city, right in the heart of Europe. Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic, is an affluent and bustling city with a prosperous economy. It is already a sought-after shopping destination due to retail havens such as Parizska Street, which has the highest concentration of premium brands of any retail district in Europe.

Prague The Style Outlets will reach a vast and affluent local catchment of 4.6 million as well as a diverse tourist market of more than seven million tourists a year. ‘Residents are hungry for a top outlet retail destination offering both international and local brands and Prague The Style Outlets is the answer,’ said Sommer.

‘To suit this retail-savvy audience, the centre is being designed to offer a combination of cutting-edge fashion brands, eclectic food retailers and luxury facilities all in one place, making it a unique shopping destination, he added. Once complete, the scheme will cover a 30,000 sqm area comprising 190 shops and 2,400 car parking spaces.

Neinver feels the emulation of Prague’s unique architecture into the design of Prague The Style Outlets will appeal to tourists drawn to the city’s beautiful buildings, buzzing shopping streets and rich heritage. It is the 9th most visited city by tourists in Europe and its international airport, Vaclav Havel, sees almost 13 million passengers every year.

The airport is less than five minutes from Prague The Style Outlets, with a shuttle bus planned to connect the two, ensuring easy access for tourists travelling to or from the country.

The international diversity of visitors is firmly anticipated with flight information boards planned to complement the shuttle bus service to the airport. In addition, Prague The Style Outlets will offer a variety of services and amenities such as a kids’ playground, free Wi-Fi zones, lounges and VAT refund.

‘The initial phase of Prague The Style Outlets will comprise 20,000 m2. Phase two will increase the total square meterage to 30,000, bringing to life the complete vision of Prague The Style Outlets’ Sommer says.

The Style Outlets platform is managed by Neinver, a leading European company specialised in development, property management and investment management; currently Europe’s second-largest operator of outlet centres and a key player in the market for twenty years. Its international platform runs successfully in nine other centres across Europe, featuring 400 brands and 800 stores with increases in both footfall and sales reported in 2016.

Prague The Style Outlets represented Neinver’s debut in the Czech Republic. Sommer commented, ‘Prague was an obvious choice for The Style Outlets. The catchment is ripe for a top outlet retail destination and the high level of tourism from all over the world means that potential footfall rates are very exciting.’
