Toolbox Group has teamed up with Unibail-Rodamco, Europe's leading listed property company, to deploy its shopping centre communication and operations tool Mallcomm across a large number of its centres in Europe.

Renamed Connect, the tool recently made its debut in Poland, a new country using the platform after its successful release in France, Spain, Sweden and Germany. Connect was launched in Galeria Mokotów in June this year and has already had really positive reaction from the centre’s tenants and managers.

Two further centres in Poland will be equipped with Connect this year – the brand new Wroclavia (Wroclaw) and Arkadia (Warsaw).

Mallcomm boosts communication between leading shopping centre management teams and retailers across Europe. It uses smartphone technology to exchange information necessary in the day-to-day operations of a retail community’s sales and data, operational alerts, centre news, tenant-directed information directly to all relevant centre employees
and partners.

Anthony Vesin, Unibail-Rodamco’s head of shopping centre management in Poland, comments: ‘We pride ourselves on our commitment to building strong relationships with our retailers in Poland, and we’re really encouraged by the positive response we’ve had to Connect as the first of its kind here.’

Delphine Merle, group director of operations at Unibail-Rodamco, adds: ‘Almost 4,000 retailers are now connected with our asset, centre and operational teams and the effect has not only generated efficiency, but brought us much closer to our retailers, creating a strong sense of community.’

Toolbox Group’s owner and founder Michelle Buxton explains: ‘Enhanced communication strengthens all relationships within the retail community so everyone involved in delivering it can work better together to create exciting, safe and pleasant places where people want to shop.’
